National Geographic Explorer
The National Geographic Explorer is one of the most popular premium ships sailing in Antarctica and the Arctic. With an ice-reinforced hull, stabilizers, a high degree of maneuverability, plethora of exploration tools and an ideal size, she is well suited to offer a high quality polar expedition experience.
Every space onboard is dedicated to discovery-from the welcoming open bridge, chart room with maps to follow along, top deck observation lounge and gym with expansive 180 degree window views. The lounge often displays photos and videos from unique scenes below the water taken from the onboard undersea specialists. In addition, even the hallways are dotted with stunning wildlife prints from renowned National Geographic photographers.
National Geographic Explorer has excellent inclusions for a ship of its class. For example, most drinks and all gratuities are included in the voyage cost. Furthermore, guests may have the chance for for a one-time paddle in the inflatable kayaks (conditions permitting), at no extra charge.

Recently remodeled in May 2023, each large suite has a private balcony, two single beds that can be converted into a queen, and a sofa bed that can accommodate a third guest. There is a seating area with a writing desk, coffee table with sitting chair, and a small table. Suites feature a double closet, TV, mini bar, and espresso maker. Bathrooms are generously sized with a roomy glass-walled shower stall. Guests receive complimentary laundry and priority access to one spa appointment per departure.

VERANDA DECK
Newly renovated in May 2023, each spacious suite has two single beds that can be converted into a queen, a writing desk, double closet, chairs, large windows, TV, mini bar, and espresso maker.
