Explore Arctic Ships

Our Arctic ships are small, giving you the chance to explore off-ship when conditions allow. Onboard naturalists lead engaging lectures and guide zodiac cruises and shore landings—both included in your cabin cost. Some trips also offer adventure activities like kayaking for an additional fee.

Explore Arctic Activities

All Arctic cruises we offer are active adventures, giving guests the chance to explore off-ship with daily excursions when conditions allow.

Many ships and voyages offer extra activities like long hikes, paddling, kayaking, Inuit culinary experiences, and more for those looking to immerse themselves in the Arctic.

When do Arctic cruises operate?

The Arctic cruise season is during the summer when there is less sea ice and the days are long. Voyages start in late April and go through September.

What is the best Arctic destination for wildlife?

The best places to search for wildlife in the Arctic are Spitsbergen in the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard or around Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic. It is important to note that Arctic wildlife is nomadic and skittish so specific wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed in advance.
