Its superior 1A Super ice rating and Polar Class 6 means it can push through deeper ice and deliver access to ever more remote and elusive areas. Onboard, spacious rooms, everywhere visibility, and seamless access to zodiacs (and the adventures to follow) all join forces to ensure a one-of-a-kind experience that will exceed your highest expectations.
The Ocean Albatros is designed to keep Antarctica front and center, from wake-up to lights out. Every stateroom provides a generous view, and most include private balconies. A variety of observation decks are accessible from multiple indoor spaces. Two hydraulic platforms can be lowered to offer unprecedented near-water-level views – and rare photograph opportunities. Even the two outdoor Jacuzzis provide 360 views of the mesmerizing landscape that surrounds you. The Albatros is powered by two diesel and two electro engines, controlled electronically to optimize speed and fuel efficiency. Compared to traditional expedition ships, this technology allows the ship to reduce its carbon footprint by 50%.
All staterooms feature exterior views, sitting area with chairs or sofa and table, complimentary mini-bar, flat screen TV, phone, safe, independent temperature controls, luxury toiletries and hair dryer.

Freydis Premium Suite
The second largest of all the staterooms on board the Ocean Albatros is the Freydis Premium Suite. This 2 room suite features a double bed (or twin beds), a sofa bed, table and chair, a balcony and a spacious bathroom. Located on deck 4.

Brynhilde Two Bedroom Suite
The largest of all the staterooms on board the Ocean Albatros is the Brynhilde Suite. The two bedroom Brynhilde Suite is located on Deck 7, accommodating up to 5 people on two double beds and a sofa bed.

Junior Suite
The 4 junior suites aboard Ocean Albatros have a great view from their location high up on the ship on deck 7. The suites feature a double bed or twin beds, sofa bed, seating area, a spacious bathroom and a private balcony. The suite can accommodate up to 3 people.

Balcony Suite
Ocean Albatros has 2 Balcony Suites on board located on deck 6. The suites feature double or twin beds, a work desk, bathroom, and a large balcony. The balcony suites can host 2 people.

The Grand Balcony Staterooms are located on deck 4. They have a balcony, a double bed or two single beds, and a bathroom.

Superior Balcony Stateroom
The most abundant cabin category on Ocean Albatros, located on decks 4 & 6. They have a balcony, a double bed or two single beds and a bathroom. The Superior Balcony Staterooms also include a seating area complete with a table and chair. Additionally, a select few of the Superior Balcony Staterooms are equipped with a sofa that can serve as a bed for a third occupant. If you prefer to book two staterooms with connecting doors, this is possible under this category upon request.

Balcony Stateroom

There are four Triple Staterooms on board Ocean Albatros featuring portholes and bathrooms. Triple staterooms are normally with three single beds however a double bed can be accommodated, while the third is a single bed. Located on Deck 3.
